Students will learn basic conversation skills, brushing up on simple grammar patterns 
they have learned in high school. Emphasis wil be placed on vocabulary-building and 
pairwork.

Week 1:  Self-introductions, talking about one's hometown
Week 2:  Clasroom expressions, Bingo Game
Week 3:  Dates and Holidays
Week 4:  Clothing and Accessories
Week 5:  Medical Problems, ailments and treatments （conversation practice）
Week 5:  Abbreviations
Week 6:  Vocabulary cards （pairwork） and fruit and vegetable categories 
        （pair/groupwork）
Week 7:  Making a questionnaire
Week 8:  Countable and uncountable nouns
Week 9:  What do you have in common?
Week 10: The Conversation Game
Week 11: Likes and Dislikes
Week 12: Describing things and travel plans （conversations）
Week 13: Analogies and blood types
Week 14: Trivia Game
Week 15: Final review

 Make sure you fill in the workbook lessons, as these will be used in the final 
evaluation.

 Students are expected to bring the text to every class. Secondhand texts will not be 
permitted.

 Evaluation will be based on attendance and participation, and on the final exam at the 
end of the term. Participation is mandatory to pass the course.
